Seeking a highly dependable and proactive Facility Manager to oversee the ongoing maintenance, readiness, and operation of a private estate. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, ideal for an established business owner (such as a general handyman or property management service) or a self-employed professional looking to take on a primary, long-term client.
Schedule & Availability:
The Facility Manager maintains a flexible, self-directed schedule, with hours varying based on property needs and guest presence. While daily tasks may be completed independently, the role requires availability during guest stays, ongoing readiness of the property, and on-call response for emergencies. You will serve as the primary point of contact for all urgent issues.

- Manage seasonal setup and shutdown of property, systems, and outdoor assets.
- Schedule, manage, and evaluate third‑party service providers.
- Ensure property meets applicable safety standards, codes, and insurance requirements.
- Serve as primary on‑call contact for emergencies (weather, utilities, mechanical failures, security incidents).
- Operate boats and watercraft owned by the property as needed for property management, safety checks, transport, or guest support.
Qualifications
- A broad knowledge of home systems, mechanicals, and general maintenance.
- Must be “on-call” for emergencies and ensure the home is guest-ready at all times.
- Ability to provide clear, regular updates to ownership regarding property status.
- Comfortable operating watercraft for transport and safety checks.
